 | George Green Senior Director Commercial/Multifamily
| George Green is Senior Director of Commercial/Multifamily for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he is responsible for public policy analysis and program development regarding terrorism and national disaster insurance, bank risk-based capital, seismic insurance, and environmental issues.
Green serves as the staff representative on MBA's Portfolio Investors, Mortgage Banking and Loan Origination committees, and he represents MBA and its members on the Coalition to Insure Against Terrorism and the Natural Disaster Policy Holders Coalition. He has led MBA's Seismic Working Group to modify and create seismic risk assessment standards for the commercial real estate finance industry.
When he joined MBA in October 2005, Green brought a 20-year career in association management and real estate consulting. Previously, he was the Managing Principal for Convergence Analytics, a real estate, technology and public policy consulting firm. He also spent 10 years at the National Association of Realtors in the research, government affairs, international and commercial divisions.
As a consultant, Green provided development analysis of more than $3 billion in commercial real estate. He also has worked for national consulting firms such as Deloitte and Touche and Robert Charles Lesser and Co. Green has a bachelor's degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College in California and a master's in institutional real estate from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
