While MBA believes the Department of Labor's (DOL) new regulations implementing the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exempt many mortgage employees from coverage of the FLSA, MBA has requested further guidance from DOL and will continue to assist its members in navigating FLSA requirements. MBA was encouraged by the DOL's guidance regarding the exempt status of mortgage company employees. Links to the DOL ruling and MBA analysis the ruling are shown below.
