| Jim Gross is Vice President of Financial Accounting and Public Policy for the Mortgage Bankers Association. He is responsible for. In this capacity, he will advise MBA's Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Industry Relations on emerging industry policy issues and assist in setting strategic priorities. He is the staff representative to MBA's Financial Management Committee, and he served as chairman of that committee for fiscal years 1998 and 1999 when he was CFO of member companies.
Jim joined MBA in July 2008. Prior to joining MBA, Jim was controller then CFO of NetBank, Inc. for 7 years. Prior to NetBank, Jim was CFO of New America Mortgage, IndyMac, and J.I. Kislak Mortgage. Jim has six years of "Big Four" experience with Ernst & Young and four years with Deloitte Touche as a banking and mortgage banking specialist.
Jim graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelors of arts degree in economics. He received his MBA from Rutgers University, and was licensed in Ohio as a CPA.
