Title: MBA Announces Leadership of the Residential Technology Steering Committee (RESTECH) and the New Membership of the Residential Technology Software and Services Subcommittee

Chicago, IL (October 23, 2006) - The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced the appointment of Allan Lubitz, Senior Vice President, Option One Mortgage Corporation in Irvine, CA, as Chairman of its Residential Technology Steering Committee (RESTECH). Chris Burckhardt, Chief Information Officer of Pulte Mortgage in Englewood, CO, was named Vice Chairman. 

RESTECH is the technology steering committee for MBA's residential members, responsible for identifying various issues and making recommendations for policies and initiatives involving technology to MBA's Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG). RESTECH is composed of eight representatives from MBA member companies of all sizes.

"I am honored to welcome Allan and Chris to the RESTECH leadership," said Robert E. Story, CMB, RESBOG Chairman and President of Seattle Financial Group in Seattle, WA. "I have seen the many contributions they have made to the association and I look forward to working closely with them over the next year."

Additionally, the RESTECH's Residential Technology Software and Services Subcommittee has been assembled for 2006-2007. This Subcommittee was first initiated last year and helps improve communication between the residential vendor community and MBA and its leadership. The mission of this Subcommittee is to provide a forum for discussion and escalation of new issues as seen by the residential technology software and services provider community, and for vetting industry issues that RESTECH (or other Committee) is currently discussing, where a software or service provider consensus is desired. 

Members of this Subcommittee include: Tim Anderson - Vice President of eMortgage Services, Stewart Transaction Solutions in Jacksonville, FL; Mike Bixby - President, Bixby Consulting, Inc. in Hialeah, FL; Michael Brady - Chief Information Officer, Lending Tree, Inc. in Charlotte, NC; Brian Fitzpatrick - President, Lydian Technology Group in Jacksonville, FL; Mike Fleck - System Development Manager, AIG United Guaranty in Greensboro, NC; Mick Goldstein - Executive Vice President and Chief Security Officer, RealEC Technologies in Santa Ana, CA; Roger Gudobba - Senior Principal of Strategic Business Development, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in Troy, MI; Diana Helander - Group Business Development Manager of Worldwide Standards, Adobe Systems in McLean, VA; Phil Huff - President and Chief Executive Officer, eLynx, Ltd. in Cincinnati, OH; Roy Martin - Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Xetus Corp. in Mountain View, CA; Terry Van Bibber - President, Safedocs, Inc. in Walnut Creek, CA; Prashant Kothari - President, String Information Services in Washington, DC; and Chetan Patel - Executive Vice President, MortgageHub in Conshohocken, PA. The Co-chairs and RESTECH liaisons for this Subcommittee are David Walton - Vice President of Software Engineering and Chief Information Officer, Fiserv Lending Solutions - UniFi Products in Plantation, FL and Ruth Thompson - Chief Executive Officer, Desert Document Services, Inc. in Tempe, AZ.
