Chicago, IL (October 25, 2006) - The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) today announced the election of Robert E. Story, Jr., CMB, President of Seattle Financial
Group, Seattle, Washington, as Chairman of its Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) and Robert H. Griffith, Senior Vice
President at Bank of America, Charlotte, North Carolina, as Vice Chairman of RESBOG at the association's 93rd Annual Convention
& Expo held in Chicago. MBA also named the newly elected members of RESBOG.
RESBOG is the governing body for MBA's residential/single-family members, responsible for identifying legislative and regulatory
policies and positions on single-family residential lending, and for making recommendations for policies and initiatives to
MBA's board of directors. RESBOG is composed of 60 representatives from MBA member companies of all sizes.
"I am fortunate to have Robert Story and Robert Griffith as Chairman and Vice Chairman of RESBOG," said MBA Chairman John
M. Robbins, CMB. "Their ongoing contributions to MBA and the real estate finance industry make them ideal leaders."
Story and Griffith presently sit on MBA's Board of Directors. Both men have been active Mortgage Bankers Association members
and served on several committees. Story is a 2007 Vice Chair of MORPAC, MBA's political action committee, and he was also
the first chair of the Mortgage Action Alliance, the grassroots lobbying organization of MBA.
