"I am proud to recognize these exceptional individuals for their contributions to MBA and the industry," said Jonathan L. John Mechem, previously Manager, Public Affairs, has played a critical role in MBA’s communications outreach to the media and Capitol Hill.  As Director, Public Affairs, John will be responsible for developing strategy and messages for industry issues such as the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), FHA reform, mortgage fraud against lenders, predatory lending and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (GSE) oversight, licensing and foreclosure surveys as well as other industry issues.  Additionally, John will be responsible for coordinating regular communications with MBA’s membership, including Officers and Board of Directors.  Prior to joining MBA, John served as the Director of Communications for the American Forest & Paper Association, and before that, as Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Jim Bunning.

Brook Ostrander, previously, Manager, Classroom Programs, has been instrumental in coordinating and executing CampusMBA’s classroom lineup.  As Director, Classroom Programs, Brook will be responsible for managing all of the instructor-led and live events delivered directly by CampusMBA or in partnership with third-parties.
