WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 21, 2008) - CampusMBA, the award winning education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), today announced that it has released
a comprehensive, instructor-led loss mitigation workshop for industry professionals. CampusMBA's creation of the workshop
comes at a time when the real estate finance industry is seeing unprecedented interest for loss mitigation training as it
responds to current market conditions.
"As the industry continues to help millions of troubled homeowners find solutions to avoid foreclosure, companies are realizing
how valuable formal loss mitigation training can be for their increasingly busy servicing staffs," said John Golden, MBA's
Senior Vice President of Education. "CampusMBA is responding rapidly to the needs of businesses facing today's market and
the loss mitigation workshop is yet another example of how CampusMBA is providing real solutions for our industry and its
professionals."
Taught by industry experts, the boot camp-style workshop is designed for servicing managers, counselors, and loan servicing
professionals who are responsible for performing and monitoring loss mitigation workouts. The workshop provides participants
with insights on key loss mitigation issues including common reasons for default, investor and insurer loss mitigation requirements
and workout options. Throughout the day, participants engage in five hands-on exercises that include the design of a loss
mitigation workout plan. An online final exam is made available following the conclusion of the workshop.
The first of the workshops will take place on June 10 in Westlake, TX. To learn more about this workshop visit CampusMBA's
