Featured Speaker

Congresswoman
Carolyn B. Maloney

Opening General Session
Monday, May 24, 8:30 a.m.-9:45 a.m.

Representative Carolyn B. Maloney is recognized as a national leader with extensive accomplishments in financial services, national security, the economy and women’s issues. Her career has been a series of firsts, including being the first woman to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District and the first woman to Chair the Joint Economic Committee, a House and Senate panel that examines and addresses the nation’s most pressing economic issues. As a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee (and immediate past chair of its Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee), she has worked to modernize financial services laws and regulations, strengthen consumer protections and institute more vigilant oversight of the safety and soundness of our nation’s banking industry. Also a senior member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Maloney legislation has saved hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars.

NEW: Regulation AB Workshop

Tuesday, May 25, 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is proposing significant changes to Regulation AB, which governs public CMBS transactions. The proposed changes impact offering process, disclosure, ongoing reporting and privately issued structured finance. Open to all conference attendees, this workshop is an opportunity to share ideas and discuss the impact of Regulation AB. While workshop leaders will provide a brief overview of the rule, the discussion will focus on its actual impact on servicing and, particularly, the impact of the proposed Schedule L-D. Be an active participant and join workshop facilitators Janine Stallings, MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Servicing Council Chair and Vice President - Portfolio Management & Accounting, Pacific Life Insurance Company; Keith Dunsmore, Esq., MBA’s Commercial/Multifamily Public Policy Committee Co-Chair and Partner, Bryan Cave LLP; and Katie Schwarting, Esq., MBA Staff Representative and Counsel, Bryan Cave LLP.
