| Steve O'Connor is Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). He manages MBA's Government Affairs department and serves as the staff representative to MBA's Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG). He is responsible for directing MBA's overall legislative, regulatory and political activities.
O'Connor joined the association in 1996 as senior director for single-family housing. Before joining MBA, O'Connor held positions in government affairs with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and Freddie Mac. He also worked for the former Skyline Financial Services Corp.
O'Connor holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Marquette University and received his master of arts degree in political science from American University.
